DC reveals the Third Army!
You know what we haven't had in a year and a half? A Green Lantern crossover. For about a year and a half, DC has been hinting at the Third Army. Now, we have a better idea of who or what exactly they are.
DC released an image of the interconnected covers to the four Green Lantern titles coming out this October, featuring not one, but two angry black guys front and center. In the background, a plethora of white aliens with clear skulls and green brains can be seen either chasing or backing up the various Lantern characters. The new "Gimp Lantern" is also featured prominently, although his trademark gun is nowhere to be seen.
"Rise of the Third Army" will be crossing over all four titles in October. Geoff Johns had this to say (in oddly broken English) "Absolute power corrupts absolutely--and Guardians time is finally here. What with Atrocitus sacrifice to take on the Guardians? What happens to Guy Gardner when he's targeted after Hal Jordan?" It's unknown why Johns is suddenly unable to write a coherent word of English, but we're sure that isn't a foreboding sign about the quality of this event.
