Entertainment Weekly (aka. EW) strikes again, this time featuring news about a new Marvel One-Shot movie that will be shown at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) this year.
Like the previous one-shots (those starring Coulson), this one will be available on an upcoming home video release. That release of course being The Avengers.
The story takes place in the aftermath of The Avengers movie, where a "down-on-their-luck" couple will find a Chitauri weapon left over from the big battle in New York.
The item, named "Item 47" will be sought after by S.H.I.E.L.D. and that couple may be making some pretty... unwise decisions regarding the weapon they found. The couple will be played by Lizzy Caplan and Jesse Bradford, while Maximiliano Hernández and Titus Welliver will be playing S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.
This One-Shot will be the longest so far, clocking in at around 12 minutes. It will be available on September 25, 2012 (in the USA) on The Avengers Blu-ray. Fans attending SDCC will be able to attend a screening of this. Plans are in motion to have these one-shots available on future home video releases of Marvel movies.
