Marvel confirms a fourth Marvel Now! series.
Following Tuesday's jaw-dropping announcement of Uncanny Avengers, All New X-Men and a new Avengers title by Jonathan Hickman, Marvel announced a fourth confirmed new Marvel NOW! title: New Avengers, which will also be written by Jonathan Hickman.
Unlike the other new Avengers title, which will be pencilled by Jerome Opena New Avengers will be pencilled by Steve Epting, who Hickman currently collaborates with on FF.
This is not the first time that New Avengers has shared space with a new Avengers title. Brian Bendis, who'll be working on All New X-Men, previously wrote both a new Avengers title in addition to New Avengers. In addition, Avengers will ship bi-weekly, ensuring that there will be two new Avengers books in addition to New Avengers coming out each month.
Marvel also confirmed that All-New X-Men will be replacing Uncanny X-Men, which marks the second time the title has been cancelled in the last twelve months.
In addition, Axel Alonso confirmed that there will be new Captain America, Thor and Iron Man series included in the Marvel NOW initiative, replacing the soon to be cancelled Captain America, Mighty Thor and Invincible Iron Man series. No word yet if these new series will have adjectives attached to them.
