Dark Horse will be publishing Richard Corben's take on Edgar Allen Poe's The Conquering worm, which fills us with an urge most poetic...

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
My reading list began to dwindle, Dark Horse Presents, on my Kindle
Available for purchase on the Dark Horse Dig'tal Comics store.
"'Tis reasonable prices," thought I, "on the Dark Horse Dig'tal Comics Store -
$3.99 and nothing more."
Ah, distinctly I remember, coming out in bleak November,
Richard Corben's latest work shall grace my local comics store.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; vainly I had sought to borrow
From back issues cease of sorrow - reading of Lord Baltimore -
BPRD, The Massive, Goon, Hellboy and sweet Lord Baltimore -
So I went to the comics store.
Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
"Sir," said I, "or Yeti, truly your forgiveness I implore;
But the fact is I was reading, 'bout the comics I'll be needing,
So please, without further pleading, add this book to my preord'r:
Richard Corben's Conqueror Worm, by Poe. For me, perform this chore -
And your shop will I adore.
"Apologies, good sir," he whispered, fat and slovenly, a lisper,
Munching on his bacon, crisper, the clerk from my comic store.
"Though you wish to be a pruner, of your pull list, careful tuner,
Preorders are placed no sooner than three months and not before."
In september you may order, only then, and not before."
That big fat bastard made me sore.
Back upon the counter, turning, all my soul within me burning,
Now I felt a stronger yearning for this book than just before.
"Surely," said I, "surely there's... an answer to my ord'ring prayers;
Put an end to my despairs, and add this to my order form.
Let my heart be still a moment, and fill out my order form;
Quoth the fat man, "nevermore."
Then I grabbed him by his collar, and I did begin to holler,
"Sir, don't you want my four dollars, as you did in days of yore?"
Not the least obeisance made he, nor by desparate pleas was swayed he;
Ne'er been touched by a lady, but with great resolve he swore -
Perched upon a stool well past capacity this virgin swore,
"In September, not before."
As the swollen man did smile, I realized it'd been a while,
Since the smug, fleshy shit-pile walked onto a gym room floor.
"Though thy six chins be shorn and shaven, thou," I said, "art sure no craven,
Ghastly grim and portly maven of my local comic store.
Tell me why thou dost deny my succor in this comics store!"
Quoth the fat fuck, "nevermore."
"Sir, with your ungainly blubber, no woman will let you rub her,
So, you fat disgusting tubber, I accept this mood of yours.
While french fries your mouth is sucking, you know not with whom you're fucking.
Fill the request you've been ducking, lest I kick 'pon your back door!
My booted foot shall lodge betwixt the chubby cheeks of your back door!"
Down his brow, flop sweat did pour.
"Forgive me sir, I did mishear you, realized not it was so dear to -
you. Please allow this cashier to make a note of your preord'r."
So said he, and it was written, I'll have the book with which I'm smitten,
Like the pants this man did fit in, my content was large once more.
With Richard Corben's Conquering Worm my happiness is large once more.
Twas Jude Terror, did report.
