Well, this reporter said it would never happen, but browncoats, hardcore fans of Firefly otherwise known as fire-bronies, will have the last laugh as the show will be returning to television as a one hour special on the Science Channel, which shows Firefly in syndication. It may not be the revival of the show browncoats hoped for when they attempted to purchase the rights to the show and hand them to fanboy darling Nathan Fillion, but it will feature Fillion along with several other cast members and Joss Whedon.
Traditional Whedon television conventions suggest that at least one character will have to be killed off on the show, which is bad news for the attending cast members since the show is reality-based.The panel takes place on Friday as 12:30PM.
