The director will direct a sequel to Finding Nemo
While this story's not typically in our purview, the headline was simply too tempting to pass up on. Andrew Stanton, director of the shockingly good flop John Carter, has been attached to the upcoming sequel to Finding Nemo. Stanton directed the first Pixar film, and according to Deadline, he's found a pitch that delights Pixar executives.
Deadline reports that Stanton's involvement with the sequel will help him get a "do-over" on directing a live action film. Disney still has high hopes for Stanton and many blame the failure of John Carter on poor marketing as opposed to anything Stanton could have done. [Editor's Note: Yeah, the marketing was 100% Stanton's fault. Movie still wasn't awful, though.]
