Fans have been chomping at the bit all week, waiting for the next reveal telling us WHO WILL SHAPE THE FUTURE OF MARVEL NOW! The reveals come in the form of classified files tossed at the reader by Black Fury, known in some circles as Blurry, who clearly has no regard for the carefully constructed S.H.I.E.L.D. protocols for handling such sensitive documents. Though each of the files was obscured with a question mark in the original image, released at San Diego Comic Con, every day this week we have seen another character revealed, showing us Cable, Nova, and Ant-Man so far.
Today's reveal is... YOUNG JUSTICE! The addition of a team of young DC superheroes to an anthology promoting the future of Marvel comics seems to fly in the face of all logic, but there it is, clear as day, below. The new Young Justice promo features Wiccan, Kid Loki and a third mysterious character with more popular characters Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash and Miss Martian presumably waiting just off panel.
The interest in teen DC characters at Marvel has sparked hope and excitement amongst the hardcore fans of Stephanie Brown and Cassandra Cain, who are hoping that Marvel may give them what DC has been vindictively withholding. However, this reporter has confirmed with imaginary sources at Marvel that Marvel editorial "also hate Stephanie Brown and Cassandra Cain with an irrational passion" and that they are as likely to appear in a book as "Spider-Girl and Ben Reilly."
There is no word yet on how Marvel intends to deal with copyright issues related to the characters, but this reporter is sure that their lawyers have this all figure out. We've got one more reveal coming tomorrow, so stay tuned to the Outhouse to find out who will shape the future of Marvel NOW!
(EDITOR'S NOTE: Jude Terror is an idiot, and the characters appearing in this teaser are obviously the Young Avengers. Judging by Marvel's past publishing schedule for Young Avengers, readers can expect the new YA book to hit stands sometime in 2015, though it will confuse readers by writing and drawing all the characters as per their 2010 status quo.)
