In an interview with Empire Magazine, director Chris Nolan revealed that The Dark Knight Rises
, the final installment in his critically-acclaimed Batman trilogy would be set eight years after The Dark Knight
Here's what Nolan had to say about the setting of the film: "Perhaps surprisingly for some people, our story picks up quite a bit later, eight years after The Dark Knight. So he's an older Bruce Wayne; he's not in a great state."
