Batwoman and Wonder Woman to Team Up, No Hint of Juicy Lesbian Action

Batwoman and Wonder Woman to Team Up, No Hint of Juicy Lesbian Action

Batwoman and Wonder Woman will get together, in a business sense, not personal, in Batwoman #13.

A Word From Our Sponsors... More Below!

When this reporter first heard about the upcoming Batwoman and Wonder Woman team-up, I immediately removed my pants and began writing this article... only to be stopped dead in my tracks by super-serious unfunny news reporter Stoneman, who insisted that I hand the article to him. Take it away, Stoneman.

Stoneman: Thanks Jude. It is always my pleasure to save the Outhouse readers from your irresponsible and often slanderous journalism. Female characters in comics deserve to be treated with the utmost respect, lest we incur the wrath of Comic Con Batgirl Cosplayers and the white knight bloggers who defend them. As you lack the responsible attitude to treat this announcement with the dignity it deserves, I thought it best that I take over.

On DC's Blog, J.H. Williams, who has been doing a fantastic job writing Batwoman in a coherent fashion, commented on the team-up, saying, "We're super excited to be tackling Wonder Woman for a bit in the upcoming arc of BATWOMAN, but also feel a sense of trepidation and responsibility, with her probably being the most iconic female hero of all time in comics. We needed to approach her with reverence and respect. And also wanted to give her a sense of purity in how she is drawn, something clear in her appearance, overt and forward." I agree, of course, with this mission statement, and I say that with absolutely no sarcasm based on the fact that Wonder Woman is a heroine who is traditionally depicted in a skimpy one-piece bathing suit and hooker boots and whose entire character is built around themes of bondage and sadomasochism.

The announcement gives absolutely no details as to the actual plot of the issue or the circumstances which lead to the team-up. While a lesser reporter like Jude Terror might be inclined to make jokes about how this indicates that the plot is inconsequential since no one who reads it will be looking at the words, I prefer to believe that the secrecy is simply due to DC's desire to keep their comics surprising and spoiler-free. In fact, historical statistics indicate that there is only a 18% chance of the villain in the issue being phallic themed or carrying an overt phallic item as a weapon.

The 100% platonic team-up will occur in Batwoman #13, out in October.

Stoneman reporting.

Thanks Stoneman. You truly suck the fun out of everything.
