DC wants ALL THE MONEY!
Vertigo confirmed scoopaholic Rich Johnston's rumored Sandman Zero during this afternoon's Vertigo Panel. Johnston was spot on about everything, including J.H. Williams involvement as artist. The series will focus on exactly how Morpheus came to be trapped at the beginning of the Sandman series.
In a video recording, Gaiman noted that he felt it was a good time to tell the story as they were approaching the 25th anniversary of Morpheus. He also noted that this was a story that he wanted to tell, and that he always had felt that he had failed somehow by not adding the story in the original series. The series will be released in 2013.

And check out a promotional cover by J.H. Williams himself!
