The third movie in a trilogy of sorts from Wright that includes Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz is moving forward.
The World's End is a movie about a group of 40 year olds attempting to recapture the glory of their youth by recreating an epic pub crawl they participated in twenty years prior, which should be a concept that is instantly identifiable to Outhouse readers if one replaces "glory of youth" with "sad, lonely childhood" and "epic pub crawl" with "particularly exciting game of Dungeons and Dragons 3rd Edition."
The script is written by Simon Pegg, who will co-star with Nick Frost. Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan will produce. Focus Features will distribute domestically, and Universal will distribute internationally. Internet fanboys will complain that it doesn't match up to Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz. So now that everyone knows their roles, there's nothing to do but wait for shooting to begin in October.
