Marvel will be releasing a Black Fury focused anthology to prepare readers for Marvel NOW!
The new anthology is intended to provide a road map for the Marvel Universe during the Marvel NOW! initiative. The only character officially confirmed for the story is Nick Fury Jr., the hastily crafted black son of Nick Fury shoehorned into the Marvel Universe in order to make it look more like the Avengers Movieverse. The anthology will feature multiple stories tied together by a larger framing story, a storytelling convention famously used in such classic works of literature as Canterbury Tales and One Thousand and One Nights, and this book is sure to be similar to those classics, with the notable exception that each story will focus on Wolverine and how all the other characters in the book look up to, are inspired by, and/or want to sleep with him. The book will also lead into a new ongoing series starring Black Fury, spurred by the lack of demand from fans for anything of the sort.
