Whedon has been saying that he and his collaborators have songs prepared for Dr. Horrible 2
for several years now, but at the Dark Horse: Joss Whedon panel today at San Diego Comic Con, Whedon said that, having just wrapped up Much Ado About Nothing
, he will be working on the Dr. Horrible sequel next. Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog
, starring Neil Patrick Harris, Felicia Day, and Nathan Fillion, was written during the writers strike in 2007-2008, and devised as a way to produce something without violating the terms of the writers guild. It was distributed only on the internet, and became a huge cult hit.
