The Powers TV Show Lives?!

The show is still happening, people!
While news of FX's adaptation of Brian Bendis' Powers series has been scant, the Great One himself confirmed that the series is still marching forward to an eventual debut. Bendis confirmed on Twitter that FX had ordered additional scripts and that a writer's room was in full swing developing scripts for the series. Among the writers working on the series is Charlie Huston, the crime novelist and comic book writer best known for his work on the 2008 Moon Knight series.
Powers has had a bumpy ride thus far. After shooting a pilot episode, the series had to reshoot several scenes and has yet to be formally picked up by FX. Both Lucy Punch (cast as female lead Deena Pilgrim) and Khary Payton (cast as Detective Kutter) were released from their contracts and Payton claimed that the entire cast had been released.
It's good to see that FX has not given up on the show and that the show has gained some traction.
