Amazon has posted some info on the upcoming Avengers Blu Ray and DVD releases.
The Avengers is still in theaters (and you should go see it again), but Amazon is already taking pre-orders. There is no release date listed, but we do see that there is a 4 disc Blu Ray set (featuring a 3D Blu Ray, regular Blu Ray, DVD, and Digital Copy), a Blu Ray/DVD 2 disc combo, a 1 disc DVD, and a 10 disc Blu Ray set collecting the Avengers and all the related movies. Amazon claims there is a 1 disk Blu Ray set, but the link leads to the 4 disc combo set instead. Of course, there has been no official announcement yet. The real question on everyone's mind is: will Jim Starlin be recieving a free copy?
UPDATE: Marvel has confirmed the 10 disc collectors edition set.
The 10-disc, six-movie collection brings "Marvel's The Avengers" together with the five films that led up to the blockbuster event, and now you can own it all in an exclusive set. You can pre-order it now at Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble, but don't delay--there are only a limited number of sets available!
Join your favorite billionaire-genius in "Iron Man" and "Iron Man 2," the Jade Giant in "The Incredible Hulk," the original Super Soldier in "Captain America: The First Avenger," and of course the mighty, hammer-wielding Prince of Thunder in "Thor" as they defend humanity from greater evils!
Along with the films, there will be a bonus disc--"The Phase One Archives"--as well as collectible packaging with exclusive memorabilia from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
