Emma Stone, Chris Hemsworth (Don't) Talk Comic Book Movies on The Tonight Show

Emma Stone and Chris Hemsworth were on Leno last night - and this reporter will watch it so you don't have to!

This reporter can't think of a worse punishment than watching The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, so I guess I've been a very naughty boy, because I'm going to skim through it to look for vital comic book movie tidbits for you, dear readers.

First of all, wtf NBC? Is it really necessary to have a full minute of commercials every time you fast forward the video? The same two commercials each time, to. I will never buy a Toyota Corolla.

Emma Stone, who plays Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man, was up first, after what I'm sure was a hilarious monologue and prop comedy segment with Leno, which I skipped. Apparently, she won something called a "Trailblazer Award" at the MTV Movie Awards. She had no more idea what it was for than we do. I can't tell if it was a joke or not. MTV, you so crazy!

I tuned out a minute into the interview as they chatted inanely about vitamins and doctors appointments. Next, Leno and Stone talked about iCarly for a while, which Stone called her favorite show. Stone did her best to validate this reporter's shared love of iCarly, claiming to know multiple adults who enjoy the show (I told you!). Leno added that Michelle Obama likes it too. Suck it, haters! Stone guest stared on an episode last season.

Finally, halfway through the interview, Leno gets into The Amazing Spider-Man. Stone says the movie will focus a lot on Peter's childhood, and how being an orphan at age 5 affects him. This is what fans have been clamoring for.

Stone says she is a big fan of superhero movies. She jokes that the movie is based on a true story. They show a clip. Peter talking on the phone in the Spider-Man suit looks pretty awkward, as he sort of moves and shakes his head around to convey emotion since we can't see his face. You have to see it. The interview ends with nothing of note happening.

Twenty minutes of my life, wasted.

After two more rounds of commercials, Hemsworth is up. Hemsworth is starring in Snow White and the Huntsmen, and of course he is THOR! Leno calls The Avengers the fifth highest grossing movie in the world. Hemsworth corrects him - it's the third highest. Hemsworth says he nearly quit acting and returned to Australia because it took him three whole years to catch a break in Hollywood. Poor guy.

Hemsworth starred in one of the most successful movies of all time, still in theaters, and Snow White took in $56 million this weekend, so Leno talks to him about construction work he used to do and fixing cars. Hemsworth will be in some Ron Howard movie about Formula One Racing. Hemsworth had to drop the weight he gained for Thor for the Formula One movie. They show a clip of Hemsworth sucking at driving a Formula One car.

As the interview is almost over, Leno delves into Snow White and the Huntsman. Kristen Stewart accidentally punched Hemsworth in the face during a fight scene. Leno points out that Hemsworth is soaking wet throughout the film, to much girly applause. We see a clip of Charlize Theron (who plays the Evil Queen) and Hemsworth (as the titular Huntsman). The one minute clips put the entire series Once Upon a Time to shame. The interview ends and we learn absolutely nothing about anything.

Now, aren't you glad you didn't have to sit through that?

Here's the video, in case you're feeling masochistic:
