Fanboys (deep sigh)...
Source: "The Dark Knight Rises": Rotten Tomatoes suspends comments on it
Rotten Tomatoes, a website that, I think, reviews and grades movies (I've never really spent any time over there and their rating system seems unnecessarily complex for discussions that are usually only slightly more mature thant the youtube comments section of voice chat on X-Box Live) had to shut off the comments section for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises because of fucking fanboys and their compulsive need to be assholes on the internet
Matt Atchity, Rotten Tomatoes' Editor-in-Chief and one serious dude, told cbsnews.com that "the job of policing the comments became more than my staff could handle for that film, so we stopped the comments altogether... It just got to be too much hate based on reactions to reviews of movies that people hadn't even seen." We assume he followed that up with "in other words, fanboys are the worst," or at least he should have.
Atchity also stated that Rotten Tomatoes is thinking of pulling a Newsarama and moving its comments section to Facebook so crap like this stops happening where advertisers can see it, especially with The Hobbit coming out soon, because if there is anything worse than comic book fanboys its sci-fi/fantasy fanboys... well, there I go repeating myself.
The Outhouse does not condone this change in comment format, not only because it is an example of the internet war crime known as MAWD Abuse, but also because it makes Rotten Tomatoes look like big ole pussies.

About the Author - GHERU
RU, or as he’s known in the writers’ room: the cute one, is relatively unappreciated in his time. RU’s YouTube show, RUviews is watched by literally multiple people every month and his Outhouse articles have helped line many a bird cage. Before you send RU a message, he knows that there are misspelled words in this article, and probably in this bio he was asked to write. RU wants everyone to know that after 25+ years of collecting he still loves comic books and can’t believe how seriously fanboys take them. RU lives in Akron Ohio (unfortunately) with WIFE, ‘lilRuRu, and the @DogGodThor.
