The French premeire or The Dark Knight Rises has been canceled following the tragic shooting at a midnight showing in Colorado.
The BBC is reporting that the Paris Red Carpet premeire of The Dark Knight Rises, due to take place today, has been canceled. Warner Bros. has also announced the cancellation of any interviews with director Christopher Nolan or the cast of the film, in a statement that expressed their sadness and regret at the incident. President Obama also spoke on the events, saying, "Michelle and I are shocked and saddened by the horrific and tragic shooting in Colorado. Federal and local law enforcement are still responding, and my administration will do everything that we can to support the people of Aurora in this extraordinarily difficult time. We are committed to bringing whoever was responsible to justice, ensuring the safety of our people, and caring for those who have been wounded."
The shooting occured when a man in a gas mask opened fire in a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, Colorado. Twelve are dead as a result, and dozens more injured. Theaters around the country are on high alert.
