Warner Bros. is reportedly considering pulling The Dark Knight Rises from movie theaters after the tragic events that occurred this morning.
TheWrap via ComicBookMovie is reporting that Warner Bros. is considering pulling The Dark Knight Rises from theater chains following the tragic deaths of 12 people and the injuring of dozens more when a man opened fire at a midnight showing of the movie this morning in Aurora, Colorado. The move would be drastic, and is probably unlikely, but the situation is unprecedented and it is at least on the table.
Removing the movie from threaters would allow people to process the tragedy, and it would presumably return at a later date. Already, the premiere in Paris has been canceled, television ads have been removed, and all interviews with the cast and crew have been canceled. There is no official word from Warner Bros. on the decision yet.
