The Royals: Masters Of War #1 Preview

Catch the first look of a new 6-issue Vertigo mini-series by Rob Williams and Simon Coleby!

Vertigo's solicit says:

The year is 1940. As the Blitz destroys London and kills thousands, the Royal Family looks on. But in this world, the only people with special abilities are Royalty, and the purer the bloodline, the greater their abilities. So why don’t they stop the carnage with their powers? A truce between the Earth’s nobles has kept them out of our wars—until now. When England’s Prince Henry can take no more and intervenes, will it stop the planet’s suffering or take it to another level?
Writer Rob Williams (Judge Dredd: Trifecta, Low Life, ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN and Daken) and artist Simon Coleby (The Authority, Judge Dredd: Year One and Trifecta) team up to bring you this epic of World War proportions. History will be transformed in a way you’ve never seen before.

Blair Herter adds his description of this hot new series:
Imagine if the World War II history you studied in high school or college was a comic book, with many of the common comic book tropes firmly in place. We’re talking super powers, colorful and rambunctious characters, massive double-page splashes, betrayals—the works. The world is still at war, Hitler’s invaded most of Europe and is bombing London with frightening regularity and men are still dying by the thousands each week. However, beyond that things are wildly different. The ruling class—the royals—all possess super powers. What those powers actually are can vary, but it’s just the royals, and ONLY the royals, who have them.

About the Author - IvCNuB4

IvCNuB4 likes to maintain an air of mystery by never publicly revealing his true name unless you are one of the four lucky Outhouse posters he has PM'd it to. A life-long Chicago native, he was introduced to comics by his older brother's vast collection of Silver Age issues. When he is not at his day job as an IT geek or making the most of Chicago's three months of incredible summer, he can found spending way too much time with his very large, very loud Italian family. You will never find him on the likes of Facebook or Twitter as he scoffs at the necessity of most forms of social media.
