DC / Vertigo Comics Previews For March 8

UPDATED: Astro City #42, Hal Jordan and the GLC #16, Action Comics #975, Earth 2: Society #22.

Ever wondered about the previous history of Mister Manta?  Astro City gives us all the answers this month.
Last issue Guy Gardner took off on his own to find one of the rogue Fear Lanterns. This issue we get to see if he keeps all his teeth and limbs.
The mystery of the "human" Clark Kent is revealed in this week's Action Comics. If you haven't heard it's already been spoiled on-line. This must also have a greater ramification for Kal and Lois, especially after Lois' odd comment in the cliff-hanger of last month's Superwoman #7.
Earth 2: Society reaches it's series finale. Everything in New Metropolis seems idyllic. Let's hope so. These heros have earned it.

Astro City #42

In this week's issue of ASTRO CITY #42, the villain known as Mister Manta disappeared many years ago, lost at sea after a battle. What the world didn't realize is that he survived, marooned onto an island with nothing but the broken down tech that he created when he first rose to power.

After years of strategizing and attempting to restore his equipment with nothing but the debris that washes ashore, Mister Manta is almost ready to return to the mainland, to his glory days. Then, a cruise ship steers off course and in his direction. Is it the chance he's been waiting for? Will this be his return debut? Find out more in this week's issue of ASTRO CITY #42 from writer Kurt Busiek and guest artist Matthew Clark.

As Guy's hope for a fair fight wanes, Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner streak across the galaxy in a last-ditch effort to find Saint Walker of the Blue Lanterns and ensure that the blue light of hope isn't extinguished.

About the Author - IvCNuB4

IvCNuB4 likes to maintain an air of mystery by never publicly revealing his true name unless you are one of the four lucky Outhouse posters he has PM'd it to. A life-long Chicago native, he was introduced to comics by his older brother's vast collection of Silver Age issues. When he is not at his day job as an IT geek or making the most of Chicago's three months of incredible summer, he can found spending way too much time with his very large, very loud Italian family. You will never find him on the likes of Facebook or Twitter as he scoffs at the necessity of most forms of social media.
