Britannia: We Who Are About To Die #2 (Preview)

Rome's first Detective faces a monumental mystery in this 4-issue miniseries.

Source: Comics Continuum

The gods are angry. The mystery of Achillia grows. A strange illness plagues the upper-class of Rome.
The first issue of Pete Milligan's sequel to Britannia received great reviews and
Valiant's Editor-in-Chief, Warren Simons, appears quite pleased as well:

"We couldn't be prouder of the work that Peter and Juan have done in building the captivating and mysterious world of Britannia.  Having the marketplace respond to a new character and a new concept with such enthusiasm has been invigorating and emboldened the entire team to take the next series into even more challenging territory. Antonius Axia is a vital and important new addition to the Valiant line, and his next adventure will be an investigation into an unthinkable mystery plaguing the dark heart of Rome, its gods, and its citizens."

The Valiant Entertainment solicit for this issue says:

Achillia and Antonius remain hot on the trail of whatever -- or whoever -- is causing the civilization's elite to fall into a deadly illness. As gods and monsters stalk the pair both inside and outside of the gladiatorial arena, Rome's greatest detective and its rising gladiator must separate the hauntings from hoaxes in a blood-boiling search for the truth. But will Achillia and Antonius solve the mystery and and prove Rubria's innocence in time, or will Nero's swift vengeance strike first?

About the Author - IvCNuB4

IvCNuB4 likes to maintain an air of mystery by never publicly revealing his true name unless you are one of the four lucky Outhouse posters he has PM'd it to. A life-long Chicago native, he was introduced to comics by his older brother's vast collection of Silver Age issues. When he is not at his day job as an IT geek or making the most of Chicago's three months of incredible summer, he can found spending way too much time with his very large, very loud Italian family. You will never find him on the likes of Facebook or Twitter as he scoffs at the necessity of most forms of social media.
