Why I Love Comics #106: New York Comic Con 2012
- Written by Eric Ratcliffe on Thursday, October 18 2012 and posted in Podcasts
On this episode of the podcast Eric travels to NYCC to talk with some very cool creators and attend his favorite convention. I talk with Scott Allie to talk about being Dark Horse's new Editor in Chief, the relationship with Geek and Sundry and what his day to day job is now. I was then joined by Ray from Achievement hunter to talk about working for Roosterteeth, what his favorite let's play is, the day to day work schedule and which one of the guys is his favorite boss. Then I was joined by Monty Oum (lead animator on red vs blue) and Kathleen (voice of Tex) to talk animation, the evolution of Tex as a character and teasing the dvd. Then I sit down with Matt Hullum (voice of Sarge, CEO of Roosterteeth) to talk about Sarge, having the longest running webseries/sci fi show in america and he manages to fluster me in the middle of the interview. Next we stop by the Venture brothers press room as the guys tease a few subplots that have been developing for a while now, video interviews vs audio, their dream sequel to a certain Liam Neeson movie and more! Finally we end the episode talking to Claudio and Chondra Sanchez to talk the new Coheed Album "The afterman" and it's follow up, the inspirations behind Key of Z, hinting at new properties, having a band member come back and so much more!
