View from the Gutters #118 — JLA/Avengers

This week on View from the Gutters our topic work is JLA/Avengers, by Kurt Busiek and George Perez.

View from the Gutters is a weekly book club podcast. Each week we discuss one graphic novel or trade paperback, then nominate and vote on what to read for the next episode so you can read and discuss along with us.

This week on View from the Gutters our topic work is JLA/Avengers, by Kurt Busiek and George Perez. Originally planned for release in the early 1980s, this long awaited team-up between the Justice League of America and the Avengers did not see the light of day until more than 20 years later... and that shows.

JLA/Avengers features a crisis of infinite proportions as the Marvel and DC Universes slowly collide. Meanwhile, the mysterious Grandmaster and the equally mysterious Krona battle by proxy in a game that will decide the fate of both universes!

In our recommendation section, our hosts nominated The Sixth Gun, All-New Ghost Rider, Pedro and Me, Atomic Robo, Anime Club, and Penny Dora and the Wishing Box for discussion on the next episode, and our selected title is All-New Ghost Rider.

Our hosts for this episode are Andrew Chard, Joe Preti, Tobiah Panshin, Brant Gillihan-Eddy, and Cade Reynolds.
