New Reader Reviewer: Kelly Symmonds
Writing- I think at least three plot lines are already developing in only one issue. The writing is strong, but I'm more or less lost when it comes to what actually took place in this issue. This issue moved quick and I'm going to have to reread it before picking up #2. 19/25.
Art- I didn't find the hooded woman in this issue, bummer. Again, in rereading this issue I will have to look for her more closely. The art didn't blow me away, but I may have been too busy being confused about things. 19/25.
Accessibility- This is a hard one to score. I found it confusing, not because I didn't understand it but because the jumping between three different plots surprised me for this being a first issue. I could see this being a negative for new readers who know nothing of Wildstorm comics or DC comics. 12/25.
Enjoyability- Even with so much beginning to take shape, this issue was good. I like seeing Martian Manhunter in his new role outside the League, and the new characters of Apollo (Greek God) and Midnighter look intriguing. 23/25
Overall Score: 73/100
