S for Tommy Lee Jones!!! In this issue, Jack Flag saves a woman but gets outed, the Thunderbolts get action figures (I really want a screaming Captain America), and Norman Osborn hits the bullseye.
I was really disappointed with this issue. I approached the idea of guys like Green Goblin and Venom on a superteam with an open mind but while there was nothing that wasn’t in previews and solicitations, there was nothing else. What’s your thoughts, Lord Evil Breath?
Tony Mourlot: Like you, I was very disappointed in this issue. I normally like Ellis but this issue was boring to me. The dialogue was good but and I enjoyed the interviews but they seemed to drag. I liked the commercial for the action figures as I thought it was funny. I felt there was too much of Jack Flag here. His scenes really failed to hold my interest. I found it hard to make it through the issue because of how boring it was. What did you think of the art Dr. Stinky Ass?
John Lewis: It’s better than Deodato’s older stuff but didn’t woo me.
As you said, I kept hoping something would catch my interest. Too be honest, this was probably the most boring issue I’ve read lately that I’m giving a second chance to. What did you think of the art, Dr. Diaherrea?
Tony Mourlot: I like Deodato’s art for the most part. It’s nothing spectacular but solid. However, whoever had the idea to make Norman Osbourn look like Tommy Lee Jones needs beaten with the Iron Dildo. I’ll give the next issue a second chance just because it’s Ellis. I expect it to get better. Anything else to add Sinister Sphincter?
John Lewis: Nope. I’m good.
