John Lewis: S
S for ye old prostitutes!!! In this issue, Orson Randall explains the history of him and the iron Fist moniker to Danny Rand and they go search for Randall’s father’s headquarters. As that’s happening Davos, the Steel Serpent, is preparing for his battle against the two.
Tony Mourlot: Yeah, I have to agree with you. This is becoming one of my favorite books. Fraction and Brubaker make a great writing team. I really enjoyed Orson Randall telling Danny the history of the Iron Fist and his family’s role in it. While this issue had little action, getting a history lesson held my interest very well. We also received some back story on the villain Davos, the Steel Serpent. Can’t wait for the showdown between the Steel Serpent and Danny and Orson. Should be one hell of a fight. What did you think of the art?
John Lewis: Well, like I’ve said before, I wish it was Aja who was doing all of the art as there’s great diversity to it but that’s okay. I especiallly liked Travel Foreman’s and Derek Fridolfs’ art at the beginning.
Tony Mourlot: I agree with you. Aja’s art is perfect for the book. Travel Foreman and Derek Fridolfs do a great job on the intros to the book. I wouldn’t mind seeing them do a whole issue is Aja needs a break.
John Lewis: Well, isn’t there going to be a while issue focusing on one of the past Iron Fist’s soon? That should be good.
Tony Mourlot: Yeah, I think it’s going to be issue #7. Can’t wait for that.
John Lewis: Same here.
