S, eh!!!! In this issue, Sasquatch becomes the Wrecking Crew’s bitch, Arachne saves USAgent from an angry trannie, Beta Ray Bill’s alter ego goes nuts, and the new Guardian’s gonna need some guardin’ from Talisman.
First off, while I did enjoy the story and art, I think my favorite part about this book is the coloring job as it has a very earthy feel to it and makes it look much different than other books out there.
Like I said, I enjoyed the story as Oeming does a great job of fleshing out the characters within just less than thirty pages and also I enjoy seeing the Wrecking Crew shown as being a threat. What do you think, ugly?
Tony Mourlot: I enjoyed the issue very much. I like the mix of characters that Oeming is using here. Like you, I was impressed with his ability to flesh out all the characters in 30 pages. The book had a good mix of action and development. So far, I’m really enjoying the scenes with Talisman. She’s my favorite character of the book. Her exchange with Tony Stark was great. I liked the fight with USAgent and the muscle bound tranny. That whole fight had me laughing. Arachne’s save was cool also. The Wrecking Crew are shaping up to be some tough villains. I feel bad for poor Sasquatch. I can’t wait to see him free and kick some ass.
The art is awesome. Scott Kolins packs so much detail in his panels The characters all look great as do his backgrounds. He also does the action scenes very well. Like you, I really like the coloring too. It fits with Kolins’s art very well. Anything else to add, fugly?
John Lewis: Nope. You said everything I was thinking, handsome.
Go here to discuss.
