Guardians of the Galaxy #13
Now this is what I wanted from the War of Kings event. Starlord, Rocket Raccoon and Cosmo shine in this comic. The art is alright, but Abnett and Lanning's writing make the comic rock, regardless.

Detective Comics #853
Well...that was interesting. The funeral scenes were alright, but the big thing that makes the comic worthwhile is Batman succumbing to death. "Goodnight Alfred. Goodbye Robin..." Fantastic pacing, on that end. Andy Kubert delivers a solid job, on the pencils.

Ghost Rider # 34
Another entertaing issue by Aaron and Moore. There's some cool moments with Danny Ketch and the unholy trucker. Definately, worth a purchase.

Viking #1
Dear Comic Book Readers,
I've heard your cries about inflated prices, unoriginality, bothersome ads and crossovers galore. Well, Ivan Brandon and Nic Klein have delivered a cure for you.
The comic is mostly set up, with some interesting characters thrown in for good measure. The real star of the comic is Nic Klein's art. Holy shit, is it awesome. I've had some issues with his cover work on Marvel, do to his color palette decisions. With this comic, he delivers some of the best art on the stands. Oh, and if that wasn't awesome enough, guess what? $2.99. 24 pages. No ads. A warning to potential buyers: this comic is slightly wider than the average comic and it features an aroma(which most comics seem to lack). Nonetheless, buy it. It's fucking awesome.

Amazing Spiderman #586
So, Menace's origin is revealed and it's....alright. I was amused by Harry and Lily slapping each other. Barry Kitson's art was solid, though it couldn't stop this comic from being somewhat entertaining.
