The new Avengers movie has a new filming location in the Rock N' Roll Capital of the World.
Ohio Governor John Kasich announced yesterday that the hotly-anticipated Avengers movie will be filming in Cleveland. Kasich convinced filmmakers to pick Cleveland over Detroit by offering them tax incentives and reminding them that the University of Michigan had not beaten Ohio State in football in over seven years. City and state officials have both stated that the Avengers movie is the largest movie ever to be filmed in Ohio. Kasich also stated that the movie will be bringing a significant number of new jobs to the state.
All in all, good news for the state of Ohio. Perhaps, we'll see less protesters around the Statehouse after they discover that Kasich can both create and destroy jobs.
