At the X-Men panel at C2E2 today, Marvel confirmed the cancelation of Peter David's X-Factor. The book has always had a very solid core fanbase, but hasn't performed spectacularly above that for most of its run. In our best Rich Johnston impersonation, we should point out that we were the first to predict this, not only back in March, but also in August 2009. And let us tell you, it's not easy being this smart, handsome, and right all the time. It's a curse.
Hopefully, the book will simply be relaunched in some form as part of another wave of Marvel NOW! books. X-Factor has consistently been one of if not the most interesting X-Books on the stands, and carried the franchise, quality-wise, through some pretty dark years. We'll keep you updated as we learn more.
