In the year 2047, the comic book industry is in ruins, thanks to years of sexist, juvenile, and often offensively lazy comic book writing by major comic book publishers. In a last ditch effort to save the medium, a group of desperate comic book bloggers from The Bleeding OutBeat Alliance, the number one comics megasite of that time period, use the last of their resources to send one very special kitten back in time, armed with the the knowledge that can change the future.
Unfortunately, in a grave miscalculation, she was sent back to 2013, ten years before cats abandon the pretense that they can't speak English and allow humans to communicate with them. As a result, for fear of disrupting the space-time continuum, she has no choice but to take on the monumental task of preventing an apocalyptic possible future all by herself, by shredding the crap out of the comic book industry, one shitty comic at a time.
She is Sybil the Kitten. And she's coming for you.
This Week's Episode: A Free Comic Book Day's Massacre
As you can see, Sybil thoroughly enjoyed this year's FCBD pickups and recommends both Kill Shakespeare and Brian Wood's Local to the masses.
The Outhouse's own Pink Peril sent in this picture of her cat Raven defeating Black Adam in battle.
And the Outhouse's CausticLibrarian's Dub and Daphne are reading Daken: Dark Wolverine #22 (the second part of Rob William's Lost Weekend arc).
If your animal has also been sent back in time to prevent the comicpocalypse, send a picture of him or her interacting with a comic/geeky item to
, with the email title MY ANIMAL SAVES COMICS. We'll feature the ongoing adventures of Sybil and her friends every Friday.
