Ubisoft kicked off their presentation with Jerry Cantrell from Alice in Chains jamming on his guitar. Before too many journalists began to think they may have wandered into the wrong auditorium, he switched it up and began to demo the new Rocksmith Game. It has a new 'session mode' feature, where your band will respond to how you play in a unique way.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist
They tried to keep focus on the story and premise, while showing off aspects of the gameplay. Looks like what you would expect from a next gen Splinter Cell.
Two trailers were shown, one gameplay, though I have yet to grab them. Looks like the game will have co-operative and competative modes.
The Mighty Quest
Could be an entertaining game for kids as it was really trying hard to be funny. It's now in closed beta, so you can sign up at themightquest.com if you'd like to join in.
South Park - The Stick of Truth
Coming this Holiday season, or as Cartman said "some Holiday season.. You know how games are." Looks like what you would expect from a South Park game.
A new twist on racing games. A persistant online world (you can play single player though) where every vehicle could be another player. Team up with your friends for missions, race offs, train to raise skills, rebuild and improve your vehicles. You can also use a mobile app to work on your vehicles and they will be ready next time you go to play the game.
Seems like we've been hearing about this for a while (because we have) but it looks like it will finally be coming to consoles. Found it odd they didn't show gameplay since we've seen some leak online recently, but as far as CGI trailers go, it looked as good as all the previous ones.
Just Dance 2014
Remember what I said about variety, well here you have it.
An interactive show related game for kids, assuming you want a game that actually tries to make your kids scream as loudly as possible.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
Well, we all knew this one was coming, but they showed off a couple new trailers, one with "in-game" footage, though much like previous 'gameplay trailers' they've released for the game, it still seemed to be mostly cutscene footage.
The bike racing game is coming to console, as well as to mobile with Trials Frontier.
They saved (what I think) was the best for last with a new IP, an open world RPG from Massive Entertainment: Tom Clancy's The Division. I actually wasn't at all interested after watching the debut teaser, but it offered up the setting: a collapsed society. It was the gameplay trailer that sold this game (more game developers should take notice - gameplay! not cutscenes!). Menus were integrated into the game setting, co-op play with friends, including a friend using a tablet to control a drone.
