X-Men Producer Embroiled In Bizarre Racism Scandal

Hugh Jackman's producing partner on the X-Men movies is apparently a race-baiting internet troll.

Greetings, comrades! It is I, your El Presidente, back from a secret undercover mission to bring you the latest scoops in hot Hollywood gossip!

My friends, Have you heard of John Palermo? My guess is: probably not. Though Palermo has producing credits on X-Men, X-Men: The Last Stand, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, as far as I can tell, he did not actually do anything important for the films other than pal around with Hugh Jackman. The pair were partners in Seed Productions, a production company that appears to have done nothing other than make Hugh Jackman movies. Palermo and Jackman have also been the subject of a lot of gossip blog 'shipping, though the happily married Jackman has steadfastly denied rumors that he is gay as recently as a month ago. "Producer" is one of those vague positions that could mean just about anything, but in this case, I am pretty sure it meant glorified assistant. In any case, you have heard of him now, because he has found himself all over the Hollywood gossip blogsphere after a treasure trove of racist posts were found all over his Facebook account.

Among some of the most circulated posts are one referring to Kanye West and Kim Kardashian moving to a new home in Bel Air, which read: "There goes the neighborhood!!! It looks like a Poor Persian Palace, where's Kris Jenner when you need her?! #MoneyCantBuyADumbNiggaClass." Another, referring to Anderson Cooper's boyfriend opening a gay bar, uses the hashtag "#SmellsLikeLubeAndHIV." Palermo reportedly had choice words for Asians and Jews as well, in case anyone was feeling left out. Aye carumba!

Yes. He is that guy. There are scores of that guy on the internet, but most of them are anonymous nobodies, whereas this time, that guy is a mildly famous nobody. Comrades, we expect mildly famous nobodies to have, if not a more enlightened worldview, at least some kind of common sense about not spouting their ignorant views in a public forum. Yes, you have the first ammendment right to say that stuff if you want, but the rest of the world has the first ammendment right to revile you for it. Who wins in that situation?

It looks like Palermo is standing behind his behavior. He told the Hollywood Reporter that he made the statements to provoke introspection in Hollywood, as a sort of performance art, adding:

I stopped caring about what Hollywood thinks of me years ago. I've got nothing to lose, nothing to gain. I'm a bored dude, unemployed, sitting at home in the Valley. For me, some of the best ways to overcome serious issues is to laugh about them. Because then you truly understand where that ignorance is coming from.

Oh, I understand exactly where it comes from, John. I am just trying to get over the fact that I have just learned there is something more awful to come out of John Palermo than X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Haw haw haw!

About the Author - El Presidente

El Presidente gave up his position as President and Prime Minister of Cuba, as well as First Secretary of Cuba's Communist Party, in 2008 in order to concentrate on his true love: Hollywood gossip reporting. Forming the rumor website Cubano Review, El Presidente built a name for himself based on over THREE DOZEN industry credited trade scoops. Unfortunately, capitalist American trade embargoes have rendered unreachable from within the United States, forcing El Presidente to syndicate his articles to The Outhouse, which flies under the radar of the American oligarchy thanks to most leaders assuming it is a scat porn site, which, to be fair, is basically true.
