There really isn't much to say about this other than the only way this made it out of a meeting is if this was the conversation:
[Setting, meeting room in Marvel Headquarters, New York City, NY. A bunchy of old white guys (OWG) sitting around a table trying to make the money]
OWG #1: Ok, Halloween is only a few months away; we need to set up our officially licensed costumes. Ideas?
OWG #2: Spider-Man!
OWG #3 (secret enemy of OWG #2): WOW! Did you come up with that all on your own? (Ok, maybe it’s not a big secret)
OWG #2: Ok then, big shot, what’s your idea?
OWG #3: ummmm, Spider-Girl?
Head OWG: Fantastic! We here at Marvel have been doing our darndest to bring girls into the comic book community. What are your ideas for a Spider-Girl Costume?
OWG #3: Didn't we used to publish a Spider-Girl comic that didn't suck?
OWG #4: No one bought it.
OWG #3: Didn't have like 75 issues?
OWG #4: Female leads don't sell?
OWG #3: Well, all I am saying is that we have a template for a great costume.
OWG #2: Or, we could save money and just put the Spider-Logo on a pink shirt and toss in a shiny skirt and call it a day.
OWG #3: That's idiotic. Painting something pink doesn't automatically make it appealing to little girls.
OWG #2: So, you have experience appealing to little girls?
Head OWG: It seems our options are make a quality product or a cheap gender stereotyping pile of garbage....well; it seems to work for DC.
All OWGs: Laughs
So, there you go, take a look at this "Spider-Girl" costume and take 3 steps back.

RU, or as he’s known in the writers’ room: the cute one, is relatively unappreciated in his time. RU’s YouTube show, RUviews is watched by literally multiple people every month and his Outhouse articles have helped line many a bird cage. Before you send RU a message, he knows that there are misspelled words in this article, and probably in this bio he was asked to write. RU wants everyone to know that after 25+ years of collecting he still loves comic books and can’t believe how seriously fanboys take them. RU lives in Akron Ohio (unfortunately) with WIFE, ‘lilRuRu, and the @DogGodThor. You can also find him on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, & even Google+ (if anyone still uses that).
