On his Facebook Monday, Jim Starlin teased that he had written and drawn a one-hundred page story for Marvel that he's hoping will be released sometime next year. The image he posted along with this was a blurred picture of Thanos, a character he created.
The last time Starlin wrote/drew the character was for the ongoing (at the time) Thanos series (he worked on #1-6). He hasn't been on the character since the massive popularity spike Thanos has gotten due to his all too brief appearance in the live action movie The Avengers (2012). We had a brief, fictional conversation with Starlin for more details.
"It's really exciting to get another opportunity to write The Inifinity Gauntlet," said Starlin, who has written The Infinity Gauntlet for Marvel four times now. Once as The Infinity Gauntlet, once as The Infinity Crusade, once as The Infinity War, and once as Thanos: The End. "Every couple of years, I feel it's a good time to write The Infinity Gauntlet again, with nothing more than a few minr cosmetic changes and a new title, and get paid for it."
"This fifth iteration of The Infinity Gauntlet will probably be the best yet," Starlin insisted, adding, "It will at least be in the top five replacing Infinity since that wasn't written by me."
