Unlettered preview art from the upcoming new title

DC Comics has released some unlettered preview art from the upcoming new title Justice League 3000.
Who is this mysterious new Justice League and what are their connections to the present day team ?
Artist Howard Porter won't reveal much but he does tease:
“They're the big five from the Justice League, but in the future. The approach to the designs was that it's a somewhat dystopian, dark future, yet these are the heroes we know from the current DCU. But they had to look a little bit different because of the setting. It was tricky to do the designs, because they still had to be recognizable. You still had to be able to tell who they were, but you had to be able to tell something was off. There was more direction on the individual characters, but some of the choices that I made in the original designs, if I tell you why… it would probably give away some of the surprises.
The Justice League is indeed fully formed and we see them thrown into some pretty intense action by the time you get through the first 6 pages.”
Written by J.M. DeMatteis and Keith Giffen, Justice League 3000 goes on sale December 11.

About the Author - IvCNuB4
IvCNuB4 likes to maintain an air of mystery by never publicly revealing his true name unless you are one of the four lucky Outhouse posters he has PM'd it to. A life-long Chicago native, he was introduced to comics by his older brother's vast collection of Silver Age issues. When he is not at his day job as an IT geek or making the most of Chicago's three months of incredible summer, he can found spending way too much time with his very large, very loud Italian family. You will never find him on the likes of Facebook or Twitter as he scoffs at the necessity of most forms of social media.
