We reported last week that DC Comics had informed subscribers of Detective Comics that they'd not be receiving a copy of Detective Comics #27 due to the issue's size and larger price point. As DC had previously shipped out oversized copies of the comic out to subscribers, we reset the counter while comparing Dan Didio to the Grinch in a clever little Dr. Seuss inspired poem.
Just like the Grinch, it appears that DC has changed its mind. After a fan posted a link of Bleeding Cool's article about the story on his Facebook page, Dan Didio informed his Facebook friends that the issue had been corrected and thanked the fan for bringing the issue to his attention. No word on if subscribers have been informed of this change, or if DC will just ship out the issue as planned.
Between this and news that Frank Miller would be providing a cover for Detective Comics #27 after all, it looks like fans of Detective Comics are getting a happy ending after all. It's a Christmas miracle!
