Take your place in line for this upcoming free-to-play game.
Source: Disney announces Star Wars space combat game Attack Squadrons
In July, Bothan spies got wind of Disney/Lucasfilm registering some domain names (eg. StarWarsAttackSquadrons.com, SWAttackSquadrons.com) for a then unknown project. Today, that project has been revealed to be an upcoming free-to-play PC game: Star Wars Attack Squadrons.
In Star Wars Attack Squadrons, you'll get the ability to customize "iconic Star Wars ships" and participate in 16-player dogfights. There will also team-based and defense-type modes in the game, and of course, unlockables.
The game is being devloped by Area 52 Games. It's unknown when the game will be released, but Disney is asking you to "Join The Beta" (http://www.starwars.com/attacksquadrons or http://www.starwarsattacksquadrons.com). The beta-test is expected to be available in 2014.
