The LA Times has reported that Kaare Andrews' new Marvel project is a solo Iron Fist series, which he will write and draw.  Andrews, who left the comic book industry to direct the upcoming Cabin Fever: Patient Zero movie, is returning to the character after contributing several covers to Ed Brubaker and Matt Fraction's run on the series several years ago.

Details are scant about the upcoming series, other than that it is Andrews' take on a martial art film and will tie into Iron Fist's origin.  Andrews also mentioned that Ranny Rand's choice to pass on immortality will also play into the series.

Iron Fist #1 will be released in April.
