Does DC's Upcoming Movie Schedule Include a Wonder Woman Film?!

The latest gossip from the Hollywood rumor mill says: yes!

Source: Nikki Finke

A report today from Nikki Finke, former Deadline mogul, claims to list DC's upcoming movie through 2018, and that schedule includes a Wonder Woman film:

May 2016 – Batman v Superman
July 2016 – Shazam
Xmas 2016 – Sandman
May 2017 – Justice League
July 2017 – Wonder Woman
Xmas 2017 – Flash and Green Lantern team-up
May 2018 – Man Of Steel 2

There had been talk of a Metal Men and Suicide Squad movie for sometime in 2016 but that project fell off the schedule.

According to Finke, the reason for the ten month delay on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice were not injuries to Ben Affleck, but rather, attempts to settle long-term contracts with the actors, as the movie is planned as a starting point for several other franchises related to the Justice League. Finke's rumor-mongering should be taken with a grain of salt because it does seem to contradict recent reports, such as one from the director attached to the Shazam movie that said the property was dead in the water thanks to the success of Man of Steel, as well as the conventional wisdom that DC has no idea how to make a solo movie starring its most well-known female character. Here's hoping there's some truth to Finke's report and DC has finally figured that out.

According to Finke, the schedule will be officially revealed at this year's San Diego Comic Con.
