Marvel Revisiting Potential Power Pack Movie

Power Pack is a superhero team consisting of four young siblings.

With DC still torn between making light-hearted movies and dark, brooding ones, Marvel is going whole hog in the carefree department as they revisit bringing Power Pack to the big screen. The studio is looking to develop a "Spy Kids-like story."

Power Pack was one of the initial 10 properties used as collateral in a deal Marvel made with Merrill Lynch in 2005 at the birth of Marvel Studios. Nothing came of that portion of the deal, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe is certainly crushing at the box office. The movie doesn't have a release date, nor has it been greenlit, but Jonathan Schwartz has been given executive oversight on the project. Schwartz was Kevin Feige's assistant on the early Marvel films, before becoming producer on Guardians Of The GalaxyGuardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2, and Captain Marvel.

Power Pack follows four siblings, Jack, Julie, Katie, and Alex Power, who are granted powers by a dying Kymellian named Aelfyre Whitemane. Alex can manipulate gravity, Julie can fly at incredible speeds, Jack can manipulate the mass of an object and change its density, and Katie can manipulate and use energy fields.
