Harley Quinn Animated Series Coming to DC Digital Service!

Yes, Harley Quinn is getting her own adult-themed animated show. How did she beat Deadpool to this feat?

Harley Quinn is joining Teen Titans and Young Justice Season 3 to the DC Digital Service! Deadline announced the official news (with also ). The adult-themed animated show will have twenty-six episodes and Warner Bros. is apparently aiming to get Margot Robbie (live-action Harley from last year's Suicide Squad) to reprise the role vocally.

The show will be produced by Powerless executive producers Justin Halpern & Patrick Schumacker along with Dean Lorey (also did Powerless, but is a writer for iZombie, and did the screenplay for Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday. I just find that amusing).

The series will focus on Harley breaking things off with the Joker once and for all. Then deciding she wants to be the crime queen of Gotham. Wackiness ensues. A picture of development art was posted and here it is (which means this might not be the final product):

It has a very Jimmy Palmiotti/Amanda Conner (who's Harley comic run is just ending ironically) feel to it with Ivy, Harley's beaver, and her look. It will also feature "a whole cast of heroes and villains, old and new, from the DC Universe." per quoting from Deadline. No other information is known on it, but it's safe to say it'll be awhile before we see this on the DC Digital service (unlike Teen Titans and Young Justice which will launch with the service).

Whatever new information is learned, we'll keep you in the know.
