Amazon Studios is developing two hour long dramas based on Jonathan Hickman properties: East of West and TranshumanRobert Kirkman will executive produce both series through Skybound Entertainment's first-look deal with the studio.

Both projects will be created and executive produced by Hickman and its respective artist, East of West's Nick Dragotta and Transhuman's J.M. Ringuet. Including artists in adaptations is generally unheard of, and something Kirkman could learn something from.

Hickman will write East of West and Transhuman is currently looking for a writer.

East of West is set in a reimagined Western landscape where America is divided into seven nations. The series follows Death as he braves his fellow riders, monsters, and corrupt gunslingers in his quest to save his mortal family from the Apocalypse.

Transhuman is a science fiction drama set in the near future, centering around a divorced couple, who ran rival major corporations, offering humans the ability to genetically and robotically enhance themselves.
