Marvel released a new Flash game that is both easy and addicting.
Marvel released a new Avengers vs. Gamma Monsters flash game today, featuring the characters of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes versus increasingly difficult waves of gamma monsters.
The game's mechanics are simple: there's six columns, each of which are being invaded by monsters. You deploy a team of Avengers and SHIELD agents to stop them. It's a simplified ripoff of Plants vs. Zombies, but that's okay.
If you're looking for deep strategy, look elsewhere. Most of the heroes in the game can hold down a column on your own and the waves are rarely thick enough to provide a real challenge. When I tested the game, the hairiest moment came when I forgot there were six columns and had a monster halfway down the screen. Luckily, Thor was able to dispatch him in two or three hits, so it was all good.
If you're looking to kill fifteen minutes, click here and give it a whirl. There's not a lot of replayability to it, but it's fun enough to at least breeze through it and make you feel good about yourself.
