But isn't Batman anti-gun?
Spring is when The Batman is set to start filming, according to director and star Ben Affleck. "We're on the right track with that and everything is coming together," he said. "We're still finishing up a script. I'm very excited." Having a finished script is a step forward after the mess that was Batman v Superman.
Affleck also iterated his respect for the men who wore the cowl before him. "I go into that movie with a tremendous amount of respect for the people who came before me." This statment includes George Clooney and Val Kilmer.
The Batman doesn't have a release date, but stars Affleck as Batman and Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke. Bat-Fleck's next appearance will be in Zack Snyder's Justice League, set to release November 17, 2017.
